Funding at La Petite Nursery
At La Petite Nursery, we understand that childcare costs can be a significant concern for parents. We are pleased to offer a range of government funding options and are here to guide you through the exciting opportunities available for eligible families.
Understanding Your Funding Options
Early Years Funding (9 Months +)
From September 2025, eligible families can claim 30 hours of funded childcare per week for children aged 9 months and older. This funding is available for 38 weeks of term time each year.
Nursery Education Funding (2–3 Years)
Since September 2025, eligible families have been able to access 30 hours of funded childcare per week, also covering 38 term-time weeks per year.
Universal Nursery Education Funding (3+ Years)
All children aged 3 and over in England are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare per week, for 38 weeks per year, starting from the term after their third birthday. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for an additional 15 hours, bringing the total to 30 hours per week.
Important information
Government funding only covers 38 weeks of term time each year, while La Petite Nursery operates for approximately 46 weeks. As a result additional charges apply for weeks outside the funded period and extra hours attended beyond your child’s funded entitlement will also be chargeable.
Children become eligible for each funding type from the term after their relevant birthday, or the following month for 9-month-old funding.

Please note: Parents must reconfirm their eligibility code every three months to continue receiving funded hours. You will receive an email reminder when your reconfirmation is due.

The nursery is open Monday to Thursday, 8.00am–6.00pm, and Fridays, 8.00am–1.00pm.
We are closed on Jewish festivals.
Fees are annualised, based on our opening weeks, and paid monthly in advance. They include kosher drinks, snacks, freshly cooked lunches, and extracurricular activities, all provided on site.
Use of funded hours
Parents can use funded hours during the following times:

Additional charges
The optional extras listed below will be itemised on your invoice. These can be opted out of, however, nursery policies must be followed if you choose to opt out. Our admin team can provide guidance on the process and requirements.
